About Photini Pottery

I am the founder and owner of Photini Pottery. I am a qualified secondary school teacher with 29 years of experience in teaching and have worked in the state, independent and post sixteen sectors teaching Sociology and Humanities. For the last ten years of my teaching career, I taught children with special educational needs so am very well versed in how important sensory and kinaesthetic activities are for so many young people, as well as adults. Having also worked as an Inclusion Manager whilst teaching, I feel very passionately that creative activities are a unique way of supporting people’s mental health and well-being. Ceramics can be an incredible outlet and an area that can be enjoyed by all ages and abilities.

I am self-taught in ceramics, having taken several courses. 

I am fully DBS checked.

Photini Pottery is based in North London.
